Fall in love with Mijas, one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia with this walking tour. Its narrow streets, beautiful sea views, and characteristic architecture filled with white houses will leave an indelible mark on your memory.

Mijas Pueblo is a true gem of the Costa del Sol: a picturesque white village nestled in the mountains, just 10 km from the coast and situated 400 meters above sea level. As you can imagine, the views of the surrounding landscape are stunning! But Mijas has much more to offer than just viewpoints. Our walking tour will also reveal a village with a lot of history and traditions, full of charming churches and architecture that reflects its rich culture.

Its cobbled streets will lead us to the Hermitage of Virgen de la Peña, a very peculiar church carved into the rock; the Wall Gardens, a splendid park with more than 140 species of flowers all year round; the remains of a fortress that did not succumb to the Catholic Kings; whitewashed houses decorated with colorful flowers, viewpoints over the Mediterranean Sea, the Plaza de la Constitución… What we can describe does not do justice to the charm of Mijas Pueblo!

Like the rest of our tours, this one is also customizable, and you will have your guide at your disposal to change any detail: shopping stops, duration, coffee, photos, rest, etc.

What will we see?

Compás Viewpoint

The surroundings of Mijas Pueblo make it even more beautiful, being worthy of contemplation from any corner. Mijas is practically a village-viewpoint, and although the Compás viewpoint is not the only one we will see, it is probably one of the most charming and will surely fill your personal album with incredible photos.

Hermitage of Virgen de la Peña

The patron saint of Mijas is in a small hermitage carved into the rock. Its unmistakable silhouette, interesting history, and impressive location make it a symbol of the place and a must-visit.

Plaza de la Constitución

A charming square where we can find many elements such as the fountain and benches made from the remains of a catastrophic event that took place in Mijas in 1884.

Wall Gardens

An environment that has it all: remains of the Islamic wall, more than 140 plant species, amazing views, and that “something” that makes you fall in love with the place instantly.

Church of the Immaculate Conception

Almost always in this land, we see churches that were mosques. It is not so common to see Christian temples that were previously defensive buildings. This gives it a very particular aspect but also a privileged location in a beautiful setting.

And much more!

The Flour Mill, the Miniatures Wagon, the Hermitage and Street of San Sebastián, the Bullring, “La Puente”, the Town Hall… Mijas is full of unique buildings and places that you will see and understand on this tour.
